Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples is an American actor and singer from the United States. She was awarded the highest number of prizes for her performances as Layla Grant and Claudia Shepard, respectively in Nashville (2012). In addition, she played the leading character Jerrica Jem Benton, in the movie Jem and the Holograms (2015). Aubrey Peeples was raised in Lake Mary, Florida by the parents Wendy Ashley and Wendy Ashley. She is the older sister of Ally. Aubrey performed in The Orlando Repertory Theatre in her teens for a period of about 10 years. The valedictory speech she delivered was that for her class at Lake Mary Preparatory School. Harvard University accepted her but was able to enter twice after which she accepted her role in Nashville. Peeples has guest-starred on Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally Austin and Ally Grey's Anatomy (2005), and played a recurring character on Necessary roughness (1991). She was in two made-for-television movies, Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009 and The Good Mother). The latter was her most prominent role as Layla Grant on the Nashville Drama Series in its second season. Peeples disclosed that she suffers from bipolar disorder during an interview in the spring of 2019 with NKD Magazine. Indiewire included Peeples among the top actors under twenty years old old in September 2014.
